Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn is an American film and television actress.
Tripplehorn was born on June 10, 1963 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA as Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn. Her film career began with the role of a police psychologist in the erotic thriller Basic Instinct. Her other film roles include The Firm, Waterworld and Sliding Doors.
Her father was a guitarist with Gary Lewis and the Playboys. Educated at both the University of Oklahoma and New York’s Julliard School of Drama, Tripplehorn was first seen on a nationwide basis in 1991 in a supporting role in the made-for-TV movie The Perfect Tribute, a fictionalized retelling of the events leading up to Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address.
